Welcome to Bread Matters Centro, a delightful café rooted in the heart of Hulhumalé's vibrant Centro Mall. This inviting spot not only fulfills your caffeine cravings but also serves as a cozy retreat for both locals and travelers seeking a moment of respite.

Bread Matters distinguishes itself through an exceptional variety of teas, notably served alongside a touch of honey, offering a warmth that perfectly complements the tropical Maldivian ambiance. If you fancy a coffee, their Economy Milk Coffee is a fantastic choice—rich yet not overpowering, it caters to both the casual sipper and the serious coffee enthusiast.

The menu is well-curated, featuring a selection of sandwiches that, while leaning towards the mid-high price range compared to typical Malé options, are arguably worth every rufiyaa for their quality and taste. Picture hearty fillings nestled between artisan bread, leading your tastebuds on a delightful journey. Although some guests would appreciate a few tweaks to capture the essence of Maldivian flavors, the dishes on offer have received positive nods for their overall satisfaction.

The atmosphere at Bread Matters is where the magic happens. With a soothing ambiance punctuated by gentle music, you'll find yourself enveloped in a relaxing setting, whether you choose to nestle in a comfortable indoor seat or bask in the outdoor lounge area. The space is designed for both social gatherings and personal solitude, catering to everyone from couples enjoying intimate conversations to friends sharing laughter over snacks. Yet, do note the lively crowds during peak evening hours; it’s a testament to how beloved this café has become.

Customer feedback shines a light on the dedicated staff, noted for their professionalism and friendliness. One visitor recalled how Diwani and Shalini, among the helpful waitstaff, made their experience all the more enjoyable—reinforcing the notion that at Bread Matters, you're more than just a customer; you're treated like family.

To sum up, Bread Matters Centro is not just a café; it’s a community hub where warmth, flavor, and camaraderie intersect. Whether you're popping in for a quick brew, a delectable snack, or simply to soak in the ambiance, this café promises a delightful experience that lingers long after your visit. Don’t miss out on indulging in their noteworthy hot Milo, which has been heralded as a must-try by patrons. Come, take a seat, and let Bread Matters steal your heart—one sip, one bite at a time.

One of the best bakeries in Hulhumalé, located in the Centro Mall ground floor. Really love the ambience and music inside, it can get a little too crowded during peak hours during night time.. They have really good coffee, ice cream and cakes Seatings are available both indoor and outdoors, there are also round tables and side tables for people who like to sit alone and shared tables for couples and groups aswell. I ordered coffee for takeaway from this place but did not really like the look of the cup. Everything other than that was excellent, the staff were very friendly and nice.

Service and atmosphere were very satisfactory. All staffs were very professional and considerate. Improvement could be done in foods specially related to Maldivian taste. But the food was quite good. Thank you all staff, we had a pleasant evening for our iftar

The place is clean and nice, aircon. Would have been a 5 stars if not for (1) there is no wifi, and (2) no price tag on the me u which is at the wall board. Still recommended.

Located inside Centro Mall on the ground floor Bread Matters offers as the name suggests a wide range of sandwiches, snacks and bakery items. We popped in for breakfast and enjoyed the nuts, grains and fruit bowl along with a coffee. Fresh, flavorsome and filling! Our visit was early morning and there was only one other customer but despite this with it's modern decor and subtle background music it had a great feel. There is a mix of seating options including a couple of outdoor tables and bar stools at the window to watch the world go by. We will be back to try the ice cream!

Got a tuna sub and the bread didn’t seem very fresh, quite crumbly. It’s also a bit dear. Not bad but could be better, I think.
